LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Katie Couric has signed an agreement with television ABC to host and produce his own talk show daytime syndication from September 2012, ABC said Monday.
Couric, 54, will also contribute to other ABC News programs from this summer, the anchoring of specials and contributing to interviews, Disney/ABC Television Group said in a statement.
The daytime show is still without a title, but will be produced by Jeff Zucker - Couric old boss from his days as host of morning top rated show for the NBC "today".
Couric told ABC News in an interview that she hoped that the show is fun and smart and a place where "you can go to give the sense of a very complicated world.".
"Intelligent conversation, those two words that I want to aspire to and also fun conversation, said Couric."
