PARIS (Reuters) - a revival of the French media conglomerate bid from Lagardere to sell its stake of 20 percent in the unit of television toll Canal + an IPO is unlikely to occur at the end of Junethe Chief Executive of the channel said Thursday.
Lagardère has delayed public initial offer of its participation in the pay TV channel more France in mid-March, blame the disruption of markets arising from the earthquake, tsunami and the Japan nuclear disaster.
Since then, Lagardere said that it still expects float its participation of 20% of Canal +, the remainder of which is owned by Vivendi.
But Canal + CEO Bertrand Meheut said that such an approach is unlikely to occur before July.
"Of course it is Lagardère which gives the green light to the extent he sees in the favourable market environment", he said during a demonstration organized by the newspaper La Tribune. "I think that it would be reasonable to think that this could happen in June to power eliminate completely."
Analysts value of Lagardere set to anywhere of 1.25 billion euros.
