NEW YORK (Reuters) - Judy McGrath, a character in pivot which helped to change the music industry, leaving his position as President and CEO of MTV Networks, after 30 years with the company.
Viacom, owner of MTV Networks and Paramount Pictures, said Thursday that no successor will be appointed.
McGrath came to MTV as copywriter after that that he launched in 1981 and has contributed to the chain cable to transform industry music in a visual medium for generations who grew up on Michael Jackson videosPolice and Cyndi Lauper
McGrath has worked its way to the MTV, expanding its programming to reality shows that included the popular "Jersey Shore" and oversaw the growth of other channels such as Comedy Central and Nickelodeon.
Before becoming President and CEO in 2004, she held several positions, including managing editor, Executive Vice President and Creative Director.
Doug Herzog, President, MTVN Entertainment Group. Van Toffler, President, MTVN Logo & Music Group. and Cyma Zarghami, President, Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids & Family Group, will report directly to the Director General of Viacom Philippe Dauman.
